Date: Sunday March 2nd, 2014
Location: Dufferin Forest
Riders: Tyler and Chris
The two of us had a great ride this weekend, with Sunny skies and decent temperatures. The weather network was calling for much colder temps, but we ended up with -10C and little to no wind, so a really comfortable ride.
We started with our now new signature start on singletrack, which has been snowshoed and packed down very very nicely. From there we looped back on the snowmobile trail and did a nice long loop back towards the alternate trail and the spot where they are logging at Dufferin Forest.
We changed our route up a bit by heading towards the 20th sideroad, doing a short road section then jumping back onto the snowmobile trail. We looped right back to the parking lot and decided to head back out and do an out and back on the singletrack.
All in all, only passed a few sleds on the trail, and overall the forest was very quiet for a Sunday.
We had a great ride, and there is still a lot of snow in the forest!!!
Ride distance finished at 16km, in 2hours of ride time.
