A small Disclaimer: The story you are about to read is all true, nothing but the truth, and the photos have not been photo shopped….
This was the last ride of April, and it was probably the best ride the both of us had in a very very long time!!!
Conditions at Dufferin were ideal, as the bit of rain that fell over the course of the day made the trails nice and tacky and lots of traction. After all the trail work that was done last weekend, we rocked everything…
We rode the North of 20 trail, Steve’s, Ken’s, did some exploring where the replacement trail will go through the logged section, and the stick out. When we were hiking we did come across an infestation of rocks in the forest… Will have to get ride of them, or make the trail go right over the pile!!!
We didn’t ride the lollipop or the trail to nowhere as with the overcast sky, we were losing light pretty quickly, and we needed to get back the truck to make some trail repair.
During the course of the ride we did notice one major thing….. from last year to this year, we did not lose too much speed or confidence in riding… the gearing we rode the trails in were pretty much the same as the end of last year… all middle ring for the most part…. A great feeling for sure!!!
After we finished riding, we headed back out to the logged section, and quickly made a small bridge to get over a fairly large dip in the trail right at the end of a very long and quick downhill. If we didn’t put this small bridge in, it would be a very dangerous spot to be riding…
We had our beer and away we went.
