Fat Tire Trail Report

January 22nd, 2015 by in Everything

Last night, to keep the Wednesday night tradition alive, Tyler, Johnny, Chris and Adam did a great tour at Dufferin Forest on the Fat Bikes.  With the conditions last night, the single track would be perfect for skinny bikes.

As you will be able to tell how good the ride was, based on the lack of photos in the post!

We decided we would push a little harder last night, and do some exploring, which involved us following the rogue snowmobile and groomer through some different sections of double track.  These trails, were a tad bumpy, but hard as a rock and an awesome ride!

The singletrack was in impeccable shape! If you stayed on where the trail was hard pack you could rail the corners, get some great speed up, and all the hills were climbable!  If you slid off the trail, you would sink a bit, but with a little leg power you would be fine!

All in all, we covered almost 14km, in a little over an hour, so that tells you how great it was last night!

Adam came out for his first fat bike group ride, not his first ride, on his new Rocky Mountain Blizzard.

I apologize for the photo, it was cold out.

Fat Tire Rating:  6 out of 5 – Yes 6… It was just that good!
